Michela Patrucco
PhD student in Neuroscience (experimental curriculum) working in CNLAB since November 2023. Michela Patrucco got her Master Science degree in July 2023 in the field of Biomedical Engineering - Bionanotechnologies curriculum at Polytechnic University of Turin. She completed her MS internship at the Italian Institute of Technology, within the group Smart-Bio Interfaces of Pontedera (PI), working in a project with the aim of using cancer cell-membrane coated magnetic nanovectors to mediate hyperthermia as a potential therapy for glioblastoma multiforme. Her skills involve in vitro cell cultures and assays, nanoparticles characterization, immunocytochemical analysis and the use of spectroscopic techniques. With high interest in nanotechnologies, she is pursuing her research evaluating the effect of Glioblastoma on the blood-brain barrier in pathological state with the aim of designing new crossing strategies, included biomimetic nanoparticles for the treatment of brain diseases.
